KUALA LUMPUR – Ferrari today unveiled the Ferrari Amalfi, a new front-mid-engined V8 2+ coupé that replaces the Ferrari Roma in the Prancing Horse’s line-up.
Making its debut in Kuala Lumpur, the Amalfi represents the latest evolution of Ferrari’s contemporary grand tourer formula, combining high performance with everyday usability. Designed for drivers who want an engaging sports car without sacrificing comfort and refinement, the new model blends elegant styling, advanced technology and track-derived engineering into a single package.
According to Ferrari, the Amalfi reinterprets modern sportiness by striking a balance between adrenaline-filled performance and versatility for daily driving.

Powering the Ferrari Amalfi is the latest evolution of the award-winning 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 from the F154 engine family.
The 3,855 cc powerplant produces 640 cv at 7,500 rpm with a specific output of 166 cv per litre, while the rev limit has been raised to 7,600 rpm to fully exploit the engine’s progressive power delivery.
The engine is paired with Ferrari’s acclaimed eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, originally introduced on the SF90 Stradale, delivering faster and smoother gear shifts thanks to deeper integration between the gearbox and engine control software.
Performance figures are impressive for a front-engined grand tourer:
Several technical upgrades contribute to the improved performance. These include a new turbocharging management system that allows independent control of the rotational speed of each turbocharger, with maximum turbo speeds increased to 171,000 rpm. This enhances throttle response and improves boost pressure precision.
Ferrari has also reduced engine mass with lightweight camshafts and a redesigned engine block that removes non-structural material. For the first time in a Ferrari V8, low-viscosity engine oil has been introduced, reducing cold-start resistance by 30%.

Special attention was also given to the car’s acoustic character. Despite stricter global noise regulations, Ferrari engineers developed a new silencer layout that preserves the brand’s signature V8 soundtrack.
The engine retains a flat-plane crankshaft, equal-length exhaust headers and a twin-scroll turbo configuration, producing the distinctive firing sequence that Ferrari V8s are known for.
A newly developed proportionally controlled bypass valve adjusts the exhaust note depending on driving conditions.

Visually, the Ferrari Amalfi represents a new interpretation of the front-engined 2+ berlinetta.
Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre led by Flavio Manzoni, the car evolves the elegant proportions of the Roma while introducing sharper surfaces and a more sculpted appearance.
The body features a sleek “speedform” profile, emphasising clean surfaces and geometric volumes. At the front, the traditional grille has been replaced by a floating body-coloured wing positioned above a dark recessed band that integrates sensors and headlights.
A long bonnet houses the V8 engine, while the lower splitter visually widens the stance of the car.
At the rear, minimalist taillights are integrated into graphic cuts in the bodywork, giving a modern interpretation of classic Ferrari styling. The diffuser is prominently displayed, highlighting the car’s aerodynamic purpose.
The launch colour, Verde Costiera, is a bright teal green inspired by reflections of the sea along Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

Inside, the Ferrari Amalfi adopts a dual-cockpit cabin layout that visually separates the driver and passenger areas while maintaining a cohesive design.
The cabin is constructed using premium materials including carbon fibre, anodised aluminium and contrast stitching, creating an environment that combines sportiness with luxury.
The dashboard introduces a new monolithic design, integrating the instrument cluster and air vents into a single sculpted element.
At the centre of the cockpit sits Ferrari’s latest Human-Machine Interface (HMI) system, built around three displays. A 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch central touchscreen, and a 8.8-inch passenger display.
The passenger display allows the co-driver to view performance data such as engine revs and G-forces, enhancing the interactive driving experience.
Ferrari has also brought back physical buttons on the steering wheel, including the iconic aluminium start button, providing improved tactile feedback for the driver.
Connectivity features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, wireless smartphone charging and Ferrari’s MyFerrari Connect system for remote vehicle monitoring via smartphone.
The Ferrari Amalfi can also be specified with optional comfort seats available in three sizes. These seats feature 10 air chambers for massage functionality, offering five programmes and three intensity levels, as well as ventilation for both the seat and backrest.
An optional Burmester Premium Audio System is also available, delivering 1,200 watts of power through 14 speakers. The system uses ring radiator tweeters for precise high-frequency reproduction and offers three listening presets for a customised sound experience.

Aerodynamics play a crucial role in the Amalfi’s design.
The car features a fully integrated active rear wing capable of operating in three modes, Low Drag (LD), Medium Downforce (MD) and High Downforce (HD).
Under high-speed cornering or heavy braking, the wing automatically deploys to the High Downforce configuration, generating up to 110 kg of additional downforce at 250 km/h, while increasing drag by less than four percent.
Additional aerodynamic solutions include vortex generators, a redesigned rear diffuser and underbody fairings that optimise airflow and reduce drag.
The Ferrari Amalfi introduces several advanced vehicle dynamics technologies, including a brake-by-wire system that improves braking efficiency and pedal modulation.
The car also features ABS Evo, derived from the Ferrari 296 GTB and Ferrari Purosangue, which optimises braking performance on all surfaces and across all Manettino driving modes.
These systems operate within the Side Slip Control (SSC) 6.1 framework, which coordinates the vehicle’s dynamic systems including steering, torque management and vertical body control.
Ferrari has also improved the grip estimation system integrated into the electric power steering (EPS), making it 10% faster and more accurate at detecting available traction.
For added safety and convenience, the Ferrari Amalfi is equipped with a suite of modern driver assistance systems including:
Optional features include Surround View and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The Ferrari Amalfi rides on 20-inch wheels, fitted with tyres measuring 245/35 R20 at the front and 285/35 R20 at the rear.
The tyres were co-developed with Ferrari’s technical partners Bridgestone (Potenza Sport) and Pirelli (P Zero) to ensure the optimal balance between performance, comfort and handling.
Like all current Ferrari models, the Amalfi comes with the brand’s seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme.
The package covers scheduled maintenance every 20,000 km or once a year, with no mileage restrictions, and includes original spare parts and servicing performed by technicians trained at Ferrari’s facility in Maranello.
The Ferrari Amalfi is estimated to cost around RM1.09 million in Malaysia before taxes and import duties, excluding any optional customisation.
